About The Event

Los Angeles, CA – October 10, 2019

JM Art Management is thrilled to announce an upcoming exhibition at the opening of STUDIO 8558.

The exhibition features diverse celebrated artists - John Paul Fauves and Chad Muska.

Described as "one of the most marketable pros the skateboarding industry has ever seen," Muska’s talent seamlessly transitions from skateboard to artboard.  With Costa Rican roots and 15 years of mastering his unique artistic technique, John Paul Fauves most recent work expresses his complex style and pushes the viewer to question their perceived conceptions.

Curated by JM Art Management and presented by REALM. & Rebellion.

VIP viewings are available on the October 10th from 6pm by appointment only.

About the Artists:

John Paul Fauves is the masked contemporary artist who lives and works in San José, Costa Rica. Greatly inspired by modernist masters as well as pop-artists, Fauves mixes fragments of different iconic images in vivid and colorful compositions. Of his experimental and high eclectic style, he says, “art is an expression from the soul, and the soul is something limitless. This is why I am always searching for different elements to bring into the work.”

Chad Muska, an American multi-talented individual, art isn’t just a part of life. It is life itself. As is skateboarding. And design. Known primarily as a skateboarder, he has come a long way (he was homeless at one point) and managed to establish himself as one of the most popular contemporary artists. Using various materials such as steel, concrete, and resin, Muska creates art that can be described as minimalist, where influences of industrialism and conceptualism are visible.

Muska uses the visual language of Abstraction to bring the sensibility of his urban experience to his artwork. He does so with a raw modern conceptual aesthetic and media such as cement, steel, screen and wood panel. Muska’s work fuses these mediums to create a textured, linear, modern field in a variety of scale.
