Gorgeous sculpture by Irina Daylene

Irina Dzhalalyants (aka Irina Daylene) hails from a Armenian-Russian background. In her youth, while summering in their dacha in the artistic and intellectual colony of Peredelkino, she first took drawing pencils and paint brushes and paper in hand. She was naturally drawn to the world of visual self-expression. A well-known family portrait painter of the day, Sergei Gregoriev, encouraged her to look deeply into her subject matter, to try and find the essence of what she portrays. She has kept to his wise advice all these years.

Upon moving to the U.S. in 1992 with her husband and 2 sons, and settling in California, she has pursued her dreams of painting and sculpting. Irina began exhibiting her work in October of 2011 at the Venice Art show.

She has now exhibited in numerous juried and solo exhibitions; her sculptures have won several awards. Irina’s artwork has gained international recognition as she joined the exclusive International Artist Guild in Moscow.

Irina was chosen to be part of the “Automobilart” show, traveling worldwide from 2012 through 2015, featuring many renowned artists. In the last year, her work has been showcased in numerous prestigious International Art Fairs and galleries in The united States, Canada and Europe.

Several newspaper articles and television programs have spoken about Daylene's work this past year. Her sculptures are in the prominent collections of private investors.
